January 8-18: Light of Day Concerts
The Light of Day Foundation utilizes the power of music to raise money and awareness in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses such as PSP and ALS within our lifetime. January Light of Day concerts feature Willie Nile, John Easdale & Peter Wood (From Dramarama), Jill Hennessy, Richard Barone, and Joe D’Urso. January 16: “Strike Out Parkinson’s” Bowling Tournament – Dorchester, MA
Join Team PAN Massachusetts for their annual bowling tournament and fundraiser to “Strike Out Parkinson’s Disease” next Saturday, January 16 at Boston Bowl (820 Morrissey Blvd, Dorchester, MA, 02124). Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships for PAN Advocates to attend the 2016 PAN Forum in Washington, DC. The cost is $25.00 for each team member up to a total of six ($150.00). Children under 12 are free. All registered teams will receive team t-shirts, shoe rental, free food, free non-alcohol beverages and five game room credits. Trophies will be awarded for top team score and top team fundraising total.
Registration begins at 11:00am. Bowling/Silent Auction starts 11am to 1pm. Presentation of awards wil take place at the end of the tournament. You may register on-site the day of the tournament, or contact Charles Brown at 978-655-8431 or chuckbrown345@gmail.com for a registration form.
January 26: Spotlight on Treatment Advances [Phone/Online Event]
Join the American Parkinson Disease Association to hear expert perspectives on the latest treatment advances for Parkinson’s Disease. The program is designed to help people with Parkinson’s Disease, family members and care partners.
January 30: Partners in Parkinson’s – Phoenix, AZ
The Partners in Parkinson’s event features educational sessions, a resource fair, staffed and open throughout the day. Browse at your own pace as you connect with resources in your area including medical providers, allied care providers, exercise and activity groups, advocacy groups and more. The event is free and breakfast and lunch will be provided to all registered attendees.
